Meet Dog Translator — the playful way to “hear” what your dog means.
Record a bark, whine or happy woof and Dog Translator plays back a fun, human-style translation — then keeps a library of your dog's moods, sounds and silliest quotes. Made purely for entertainment.
Just for laughs — Dog Translator is an entertainment app, not real animal science.

FAQ
Questions before you install
Does Dog Translator actually translate what my dog is saying?
No — and we'll always be upfront about that. Dog Translator is an entertainment app. It listens to a bark, whine or howl and plays back a fun, human-style phrase to match the mood, but there's no science claiming to decode real dog language. It's made to make you and your dog smile, not to give behavioural or veterinary advice.
Is Dog Translator free?
Dog Translator is free to download and includes a free bark recorder and a starter set of phrases. An optional subscription unlocks the full emotion library, unlimited dog profiles, mood history and shareable cards. Any prices are always shown in the app before you subscribe.
How does the subscription work, and when am I charged?
If you choose to subscribe, payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can see the exact price and term in the app before you commit to anything.
How do I cancel?
Cancel any time from your iPhone: open Settings, tap your name, choose Subscriptions, select Dog Translator and turn off the subscription. You'll keep the paid features until the end of the period you've already paid for.
Will Dog Translator scare or upset my dog?
It shouldn't. Recording a bark is completely silent to your dog, and the playful sounds are optional. As with anything, use it kindly — watch your dog's body language and stop if they seem uneasy. It's a toy for you both, never a training or correction tool.
Does it need an internet connection?
Recording a bark and playing back its translation happen right on your device, so the core fun works without a connection. Some extras like syncing or sharing may use the internet. Check the App Store listing for the current details.
Which devices does Dog Translator support?
Dog Translator runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS 16.0 or later. It uses your device's microphone to capture your dog's sounds — that all stays on the device.
